This series of suitcases has been developed as a collection to highlight issues of belonging, immigration, home and crossing cultures. Each suitcase is an assemblage/installation that mirrors an experience/time-frame/phase in the artist’s life: be it the role of child, immigrant, creator, parent, rebuilder, or other. Each one has been built to convey these differing life experiences and how they impact us.
